“Baby Grace Open House”
The next “Baby Grace Open House” will be November 16, 2019, from 9 to 11 am in the basement of Lawson United Methodist Church.
This will be the last Open House of Lawson Baby Grace for this calendar year of 2019.
Baby Grace is a ministry of Lawson United Methodist Church that offers prayer, support, diapers, and supplies to families with children in need.
Area families in need with young children are invited to come to the Open House to receive free diapers and wipes and “shop” in our “free store” for baby and children’s clothes, toys, books, and supplies. Refreshments and consultations with parent educators and Easter Seals. There are no residency or income or age requirements to attend, but we do ask that families register their attendance, and sign a waiver. We ask that you take only what you need and will use for your family and, if possible, return some items in good, clean condition once your kids have outgrown them.
Expectant parents who signed up for Welcome Baby Baskets at the August Open House may pick them up at the November Open House.
We also support Baby Grace Camp, a church camp that provides families a chance to get away for awhile and experience a caring community. Applications will be available in the Spring for next summer’s Baby Grace Family Camp and Baby Grace Traditional Camp.
Donations Welcome:
Donations can be dropped off during church office hours, Monday through Friday 9 am to Noon, or other times by appointment with Baby Grace team members. If you are bringing large donations with you to the Open House, we suggest coming to the ramp door.
Donations of clean, up-to-date clothes, toys, books, strollers, high chairs, etc., in good condition are always welcome, and may be dropped off during church office hours Monday through Friday 9 am to Noon, or by appointment with a Baby Grace Team member. (We cannot accept cribs.) Monetary donations are used to purchase diapers and wipes and for special events such as classes and Baby Grace Camps.
